Ryan Walker and his best buddies are hell bent on escaping their small upstate New York dairy-farming town. The four teenagers have big dreams. Dreams they can’t image happening if they stay where they are. Talk is cheap however when it comes to actually leaving what they know.
Embark on Ryan’s emotionally charged adventure, filled with betrayal, eccentric characters, interesting places, old and new friendships, and love. Where thoughts of racing through cornfields haunt him and at the same time remind him to keep pushing forward.
I started by reading Boy in a Band, that book was so emotional for me, remembering that book still preys on my heart and mind. The second book Casanova Cowboy was another emotionally charged story. I am so involved with the characters. Lisa brings the characters to life, you get the bad and good that goes a long with getting to know each person in this wonderfully written series. Racing Through Cornfields is the prequel to Casanova Cowboy and Boy In Band. I am happy that I read them in the order I did.
Another coming of age story from Lisa Loomis. It's full of steamy sex and romance. Very entertaining and highly recommended.
